I had the exciting opportunity to design a rebrand for Pikúa, a swimwear shop focused on helping women feel comfortable showing off their skin. The goal was to visually represent what it means to be "pikúa"—a blend of tropical energy, femininity, and a confident attitude. The result is a bold, vibrant identity that reflects Pikúa's mission of celebrating women through stylish swimwear and body positivity.

Logo Transformation

Pikúa’s old logo had plenty of personality, but was hard to read and didn’t reflect the brand’s mission or audience. To fix this, I used a retro script font as a base and softened the edges for a more approachable and feminine look. I also incorporated curves inspired by the picúa fish and beach waves, adding as a final touch a retro-style shadow to help it stand out from other, more minimalistic swimwear brands.

Assets and Illustrations

To show the brand's feminine and “playera” spirit, I blended bold and pastel colors to create a harmonious mix of both styles. I also created some illustrations with a sandy texture to give the brand some depth.
